MUSIC

music investigates our personal and collective connections to rhythm. In pursuing visual and sonic forms of cacophony and harmony, the dancers create a kind of orchestra, through which they relay distinct relationships to time and cyclicality.

The dancers’ overt relationship to sound attempts to display the materiality of the body and to consider this sculptural material within the museum setting. Repetition becomes a tool and theme throughout the work, marking time and generating rhythm.

Below is a work in progress showing featuring dancers Julia Antinozzi, Leah Fournier, Gwendolyn Knapp, Dasol Kim, and Juli Brandano.
